What Would You Do For Fashion?

Playing catch up is both a relief but oh so tiring at the same time.  I can finally get these ideas on paper but as old ideas get made into posts, new ideas finally surface.  But ofcourse we all go through this at some point in time.  I'm not even half way through with my September issues and October has already hit the shelves.  I can't just NOT buy October. In a later post I'll show you my infamous magazine collection.  I'm trying to find a way to keep them all without throwing any of them away.  Any suggestions??  Living in the barracks is definitely a challenge, space is SCARCE!!!

One of my faves from Harper Bazaar's September issue is Rachel Zoe's "I Die" spread. Rachel Zoe has proven to us numerous times the sacrifices she's made for fashion...but to die?  Okay not literally, but the whole concept of the shoot is so creative. I'm surprised more people didn't blog about it.  I personally love Zoe and I refer back to her book as much as humanly possible.  I mean who wouldn't? This woman lives glamour on a day-to-day basis and I am a firm believer in learning from the best.

"Death by Stiletto? I can't imagine a better way to go." -Brian Atwood

"I would die for Rachel's vintage archive." -Francisco Costa

"Rachel's energy is electrifying? …And often shocking!" -Marc Jacobs

"The perfect accessory can make the difference between looking blah and totally to die for." -Michael Kors

"I only want to kill Rachel when I don't land one of her fabulous clients for the Oscars!" -Vera Wang

I personally thought this was a treat. The best of the best all together. I would have liked to see Karl Laggerfeld or maybe even Tom Ford...maybe next time.

So I ask you....would you die for fashion?

Shame On Me

You know it's time to update when you get tired of seeing your own old post!

I've been swamped with work, studying for my advancement exam, styling and writing.  Not to mention the fact that the love of my life boyfriend will be leaving me in less than a week, he's off to his next duty station. ::Sadness::  I am slowly but very surely getting back on track.  Even though I haven't been able to blog I have been keeping my TruGlam facebook page as up to date as humanly possible.

On a more fashionable note....

FASHION WEEK!!! OOOWWWWWW!!! I've been on on twitter like crazy clicking on all updates and twitpics.  Not as good as being there but it truly is full coverage.  So besides all the other amazing things I've come across these past few weeks, that will definitely a treat for me to blog about.  It's my first (absolutely not the last) official Spring/Summer fashion week to blog about.  ::Utter Joy::
